Love to Eat in the Glen Day 2012

An exciting programme of activities has been confirmed for this year's Love to Eat in the Glen Day which takes place at Bridge of Cally Hall on Saturday 11th August from 10am - 3:30pm.

Activities will include cookery demonstrations using local produce by celebrity chef Eadie Manson, children's cookery workshops by Fi Bird of Stirrin Stuff and a Jam Making Masterclass by Mark Noonan of Heather Hills.

For those interested in natural and wild produce there will be food foraging expeditions from Bridge of Cally Hall into Blackcraig Woods with an experienced Food Forager throughout the day.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR are two opportunities for local residents and visitors to get involved on the day:

Best Plain Scone and Raspberry Jam Competition in the Glens Competition
Enter your own home-made plain scone and raspberry jam to win the title "Best Plain Scone & Raspberry Jam Maker in Glens" along with a voucher for a meal for two at the Bridge of Cally Hotel plus the "Food in the Glen Trophy"!
Entries should be delivered to the Bridge of Cally Hall between 9:30am and 10:30am on Saturday 11th August, judging will take place at 1pm and the winner announced thereafter.

The Love to Eat "Ready Steady Cook" Competition
We are looking for two 'foodies' to volunteer to participate in our Love to Eat "Ready Steady Cook" Competition which will take place between 2pm and 3pm under the direction of celebrity chef Eadie Manson. The winner will be chosen by a public vote on the day - will it be the red or green corner who wins the title of The Love to Eat Ready Steady Cook?
